Appetizer Idea for your Spring Gatherings and Mother’s Day Brunches

This is a quick and easy dip that is full of flavor. It only takes a handful of ingredients and no special equipment is needed to put it together.

STAR BAKER TIPS:

  • Straining yogurt removes excess water (whey), leading to a thicker and creamier consistency. Place the yogurt into a fine mesh strainer. and place it over a bowl to catch the excess whey. Cover wit plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight.

Yogurt Dill Feta Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ¼ Cup of Farmland Fresh Dairies Dahi Whole MIlk Yogurt Drained Overnight
  • ½ Cup of Finely Chopped Fresh Dill
  • ½ Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice from half a lemon
  • 4 Ounces of Finely Crumbled Feta Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon of Kosher Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon of Freshly Ground Pepper

Crudite:

  • 4 Carrots cut into 3-4" sticks
  • 2 Celery Stalks cut into 3-4" sticks
  • Cherry or Grape Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper cut into thin pieces
  • 1 Medium Cucumber cut into ¼" slices on the diagonal

Instructions
 

  • Place the yogurt into a mesh strainer and place it over a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  • The next day, combine the strained yogurt, dill, garlic powder, lemon juice, feta cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl, using a large rubber spatula. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  • Cut the vegetables.
  • Place the bowl with the dip in the middle of a serving platter and arrange the cut vegetables around the dip.
  • Garnish the dip with a sprig of dill and enjo!!
