Blueberry Compote

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups of Fresh Blueberries
  • 1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
  • 2-3 Tablespoons of Granulated Sugar (Depending on the sweetness of your blueberries)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Water

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients to a saucepan.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, occassionally stiring to make sure the mixture does not stick. If the mixture is bubbling too rapidly lower the heat.
  • Continue to cook for 8-10 minutes. The bluebbries will burst, start to release liquid and the mixture will start to thicken.
  • Place in a bowl and store covered in the refrigeator until ready to use. The compote will thicken as it cools.
