My Version of Rate Field’s Celebration Cake Shake

This is the seventh in my recipe series where I recreate or put my own twist on some Major League Baseball Stadium Desserts.
The Celebration Cake Shake comes to us from Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox.
For this recipe I started by making a single layer confetti cake frosted with Vanilla American Buttercream.
To get the cake batter flavor in the shake I mixed in some of the cake along with vanilla ice cream and heavy cream. I garnished it pretty much the way it’s done at the stadium…whipped cream, a maraschino cherry and cake cubes. I omitted the cookie just to make things a bit simpler.
The recipe makes 2 large shakes that are definitely shareable.
You will have some leftover cake, but who doesn’t love leftover cake?!
I hope you give these a try, but if you are headed to the field to watch the White Sox you can get the real deal at The Topo Chico Hard Seltzer Cantina.
STAR BAKER TIPS:
⭐️Make sure all your ingredients are very cold. Leave the ice cream in the freezer and the heavy cream in the fridge until just before you make your shake.
⭐️The cake can be baked and frosted the day before. You should store it in an airtight container.
⭐️I recommend using the long jimmie sprinkles.
⭐️I’ve supplied you with a cake recipe, but feel free to make things easy and use store bought confetti cupcakes.
